The Warren Way Career Scholarship provides all of the support a student needs to achieve success in their journey through an apprenticeship program, work-credential program, or associate's degree through the College of Lake County.
We know that the first two years after high school are critical for our graduates trying to enter the workforce. And, we know that our students face more challenges than your typical first year college student.
Our promise is to relieve our scholars with the stress of planning for the cost of entering the workplace.
The College of Lake County (CLC) is our partner in this work. The Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CLC to provide last dollar scholarships for our scholars. This means that the CLC agrees to first apply all of the state and federal financial aid that our students qualify for to their bills. Then the Foundation picks up the rest. This special relationship allows the scholarship to support more students, and meet 100% of the need for all of our scholars.
We go above and beyond this though to provide cash stipends to each scholar in addition to free tuition, books, and fees.
